Professional Development Opportunities

Another aspect of our work is the available professional development trainings for ECE providers across the state. There are multiple professional development opportunities ECE providers can engage in through the Let’s Be HEROs program, including in-person, on-demand, and instructor led trainings, all at no cost.

  • Go NAPSACC has a library of 35 on-demand trainings across their seven focus areas, which are also free to providers. Each individual training qualifies towards the 10-hour annual in-service training requirement with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for all child care personnel.

  • The Healthy Kids, Healthy Future (HKHF) 12-hour in person or virtual instructor-led course is facilitated by UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program in various counties across the state and is also free for providers. The HKHF course integrates information from Go NAPSACC and encourages its use. ECE providers can get more information through their assigned local TA Consultant.
