Go NAPSACC is an evidence-based, online flexible platform that was designed to help child care programs improve the health of young children through practices, policies, and environments that instill habits supporting lifelong health and well-being.
Through Let's Be HEROs, Go NAPSACC is free for all child care programs in Florida. It is designed to help child care providers make improvements in their environments and policies to further promote healthy habits among children. Go NAPSACC’s provider tools guide child care providers through the five-step improvement process for improving child care environments.
The five simple steps are:
- Assess – Take a self-assessment to find areas for improvement
- Plan – Use the action planning tool to get set up for success
- Take Action – Use the Go NAPSACC library of tips and materials to put plans into action
- Learn More – Take a Go NAPSACC training and learn new skills to help kids be healthy
- Keep it Up – Assess again, celebrare progress and plan the next move!
Through this five-step process, child care providers can choose to focus efforts in any or all of Go NAPSACC’s seven focus areas:
- Child Nutrition – balanced meal plans & nutritional plans
- Breastfeeding & Infant Feeding – resources & guidance to support breastfeeding
- Farm to ECE – introduce young children to fresh, locally sourced foods
- Oral Health – dental hygiene fun & oral health best practices
- Infant & Child Physical Activity – fun exercises & engaging play ideas
- Outdoor Play & Learning – nature exploration & creative activities
- Screen Time Management
